Find God's purpose for you life
#3 Rest in God
Give God His glory by resting in Him, by trusting Him fully, by waiting patiently for Him. -Andrew Murray
In Hebrew, one definition of rest is "to be silent, be still, wait, be dumb, and grow dumb." Resting in God helps illuminate his purpose for your life because it requires no activity on your part. It demands silence, so that God can do his work in you.
To rest in him, you temporarily set aside the demands of the day in order to let God reveal himself to you. Taking time out in the midst of many demands on your time may not be easy, but it is necessary for the health of your mind, body, emotions, and spirits.
>> Build at least ten minutes of stillness and quiet into your day today to rest in him.

#3 Cultivate Quiet Moments
Be still, and know that I am God. -Psalm 46:10 NIV
Do your children a favor. Help them become comfortable with silence. Bombarded with an almost constant cacophony of cell phones, video games, television programs, car stereos, and toys that talk, squawk, wail and buzz, children as well as adults need the peace that's found in quiet.
Jesus regularly retreated into the wilderness. You and your family can make your home a wilderness amid the wildness of modern life. Designate a daily quiet time, when everyone engages in silent endeavors such as reading, writing, putting together a puzzle or simply spending time with God.
>>When you're riding in the car, take a quiet break by turning off the radio, ceasing the conversation, and simply looking out the window, appreciating the world God made.
